Oak Street Beach!

Every time I go to the city I fall in love a little bit more!  This cute beach is right in the heart of the city. I had no idea it was even there until someone posted a photo saying how they love it.  We packed up all our gear and took a BEAUTIFUL drive to the city. You see the beautiful Lake Michigan and the city it's just wonderful.  The beach itself isn't very big but it gets the job done.  We were lucky to find street parking. It was the closest but we still had to haul all our stuff.  When you have 5 kids you have a LOT of stuff. Luckily Erik and Nichole were there to help me.  It was a very hot day so the sand was piping hot.  Once we got all settled and sprayed down with spf 100 :) We jumped in the water.  The kiddos loved the waves. The lifeguards are in row boats where swimmers aren't allowed to go past. Very interesting and I thought it was pretty cool.  Giselle played in the water for a little bit but mostly she enjoyed the sand with Woocy...that is how Giselle says Lucy!  We even had a few people ask us if they were twins.
It was a great outing with great people!
