Chicago CUBS!

Yay, we made it to a Cubs game. We are all so excited to go.  We were even lucky to bring one of our kiddos along. Jolie was able to go to a Tiger's game with my dad so Genna came this time and the next game Jillian will get to go and than so on down the line. :)
I'm told this is a famous street...home runs go on it a lot!

Chicago is just such a fun city and has so much interesting places and sights. These buildings are one of them. All around the stadium are buildings with bleachers on the top. I had NEVER seen that before but I think it is pretty cool. Brett actually got to go to one for a firm event but wasn't able to stay for the game.
Brett and his dad the whole reason this happened.  Both had never been to Wrigley stadium. It's one of the last "old" stadiums. It was built in 1914. It is where Babe Ruth his the infamous home run where he pointed..it is also where "the Bartman" ruined the world series.
 Aunt Laura and Genevieve!
We were on the very bottom in the second row..right behind the 3rd base. We were able to watch ALL the pitchers warm up. it was amazing. This is Wood warming up before the game.
Daddy with his little girl at her first professional ball game!

You can't go to a ball game and NOT get a hot dog.  It was delish! Genna said she could have eaten 5 !!
This scoreboard fascinated me. It is one of the old where someone has to by hand change the score. So the little windows are where people sit and then change it after each inning. I loved watching them do it.

Genevieve tried the whole game to get a ball. She would stand at the wall and yell and wave and they just weren't noticing her.  Towards the end we were getting nervous she wouldn't get one. She went up to the wall again and just when it was about time to sit down a coach on the Cubs walked over and handed her a ball. She smiled so BIG and our whole section cheered. It was so sweet and pretty exciting!!!

We had so much fun and a HUGE thank you to Grandpa Fox for taking us to the game.  It was an experience we will never forget!

So fun!!!! I would love to go to a game sometime too. Question, if the Cubs were playing the Tigers, would you wear a Cubs shirt or a Detroit shirt :)
