ONE WEEK!

One week old! The first week! I can't believe it's already been a week. In pregnancy everything is in weeks. After they are born, the first couple of months once again it is all in weeks. SO, i am now speaking in weeks. Make sense. Let me just say that if the next couple of weeks are as good as this first one, i will be one happy mama. Jacob is doing so well. He has been sleeping at night for stretches of 4 hours, yeah i know. He falls right back to sleep after eating and is soothed by the chaos of his sisters. I am in heaven. I know that it has ONLY been a week, but what a first wonderful week! Thank you Brett, Grandma Sue, Jolie, Genevieve and Jillian for being so wonderful to me. I love you!

JACOB BRETT THEODORE FOX

He's here! Jacob slammed into the world March 30th 2008 at 4:39p.m, weighing 6lbs 130z. 20 in. I say slammed because that's how his face looked after delivery. I had been walking around dilated to 4cm for over 2 weeks. That sunday I had been having contractions like always but thought that maybe my water had broke. We decided to drop the girls off at our good friend Amanda's house and take another trip to L&D. We got there and they did this little test that you have to wait about 20 minutes or so to tell you if your water had broke. They told us to go walk around the hospital to get things going. We swung by the nurses station after a little while to see about the test and they told us it was positive i had broke my water. Yeah, we actually get to stay. The Dr. had a C-Section at 3 and since i was so far dilated he wanted to wait to break my water the rest of the way until after. At 4:05 he came in and broke my water. Right away the contractions hit hard and about 20 minutes in i said yup i need the epidural. The Dr. came in and said lets check ya first, he says oh your almost complete. He left the room to go tell the Epi guy, and it turns out to get fries, when the next contraction hit. I about hit the roof, the baby was coming and i could not stop from pushing. Brett ran out of the room to tell the nurses i had to push and when the nurse came in, the head was out, the nurse delivered the rest of the head and the Dr. ran in and delivered the rest of the body. They said that he is so bruised because of how fast he came out. He's doing absolutely wonderful and the girls can't give enough kisses or sniffs in jillians case. The pictures are all taken in the first 3 days. I will post a few more recent ones soon.
