We've had lots of rain this fall and unfortunately Halloween was one of those days. The bright side was it was in the 60's so it wasn't freezing rain! Brett worked from home which meant he was able to go to the elementary school parade! They were so happy to see him there!
Jacob took this parade business very seriously...we got a wave and a smile but he never left the line.
Giselle was a trooper and didn't mind the rain at all.
Jillian's class was one of the last classes. The rain had really started to come down but they were still happy to be there! The lady in the pink shirt is Jillian's teacher...Mrs. Czarney!
Trick or Treating is really here in Illinois. Usually 4-7 but each city has their own schedule. At first it was a little hard to get used to the change..mostly for Brett because that's really hard for him to get home that early. This year we wised up and he worked from home so no worries. We had a few families from the ward meet at our house to head out. We lucked out and there was a break in the rain for a good half hour, which was perfect for Giselle and a few of her little friends. The big kids stayed out a little longer but not too long..trick or treating in the rain just isn't as fun!
We came home to a feast of food. Chili, mummy hot dogs, dinner in a pumpkin, lots of veggies and dip, eye balls ( deviled eggs) spider dip ( 7 layer dip) pumpkin dip, ghost banana's pumpkin clementines, and jello jigglers.
A new BIG hit was dry ice for the drink...witches brew...root beer! Everyone loved it..including the adults!
We put a movie on right away and the kids relaxed and ate while the adults ate in the other room. It was a really nice night and I have to say I really like it this way!!!
Pumpkins left to right: Giselle, Jillian, Jolie, Genevieve, Jacob and Baby girl!

glad you had fun despite the rain. I didn't know you're having a girl. Identical to my family, 4 girls, 1 boy and another girl. Fun!
