Jillian's rocking birthday party part II.

 Genevieve did great. She was a little nervous but she really loved the rope that made sure she didn't fall. That was her favorite part..the coming down part!

 This is sweet little Genevieve..yup another Genevieve crazy huh. She goes rock climbing with her dad all the time she came with her own gear. Can you believe it..this cute little thing. She was such a trooper!

 Jacob wasn't going to be allowed to do it at first because he's 4 and usually they only allow 5 and older but they let him as long as one of us stayed with him the whole time.  He was SOOO excited.

         He did great and wasn't scared at all!

 He usually made it about half way up and then loved to let go and fly down!

 Jolie and Tessa...they are on 2 of the 3 hardest courses. Jolie had so much fun and keeps asking when she can go again.

 She made it to the top of many courses and was surprised her arms were sore as well!

 Giselle spent most of her time in the bounce house...or sneaking treats from the table. She was having a blast.

 They came back  on...oh that tricky mommy...even if she didn't mean to get the tricky candles!

The rock climbing was a HUGE hit. ALL the kids loved it.  Jillian was so excited to do this and then on top of it to go first.  She had no fear..this is the girl that climbs to the tippy top of trees so no real surprise here!  She was surprised that her arms and legs were a little tired at the end though!
Everyone had a great time and went home nice and tired.  I hope Jillian was able to feel special because we think she is one special girl.
She has the biggest heart and the biggest smile...even though she is rather petite!
She has grown so much this past year.  She is reading tons of books. Right now she likes A to Z mysteries and is starting the first Harry Potter!
She LOVES playing with her big sisters but is a great big sister to Jacob and Giselle.  Jacob especially loves when Jillian plays outside with him.
She is really good at putting outfits together and can do a ponytail better than all of her sisters.
She loves to bring scriptures to church and bear her testimony in church.
We love this beautiful girl and are so blessed to call her our daughter!

Jillian's Rockin Birthday...Part I

 Jillian turned 7 in April but that month was so jammed packed that we decided to put it off for a month...than May came and went in a flash! We couldn't let summer go just as fast without a party. School got out last week so we had to act fast before all her friends left for vacations.  Lifetime Fitness offers parties and so we decided to give it a try. It was AWESOME!  We had so much fun rock climbing, going in the bounce house. Eating pizza and cake and then at the end I brought stuff for the kids to make their own trail mix goody bags and water bottles to take home!

This is the group we ended up with. I have to say it was nice having a smaller party.  The group is listening to instructions on how to rock climb.

Easy make ahead Frittata

Breakfast has always been a challenge for me. I am not the biggest fan of cereal and not to mention the mornings are usually quite crazy during the school year. So I was excited to discover these yummy babies.  They are so good and take little work and you can make a bunch ahead of time. BONUS: Super healthy!
I like to get a case from Costco of egg whites and then it's even more healthier!
Cut up veggies and or meat that you want in your cups.
I cut up: Tomatoes, mushrooms, green pepper and Canadian bacon. In a bowl pour egg whites and about a 1/4 cup of milk. Pour into a muffin tin then add your mix ins and I like to add a little cheese. Then bake in the oven at 350 for about 40 minutes.
Store the left overs in a storage bag and you have a healthy tasty breakfast ready to go.

Wyatt Hick's Baby blessing!

My little sister just had her 5th child.  A boy named Wyatt.  She now has 4 boys and 1 little girl.  So crazy how that worked out, huh?
They decided to bless this little guy Memorial weekend..he was only a week old so still so tiny and sleepy. I am so glad I got to see him right away. I was just dying to see him and I hated how most of the time I didn't get to see her babies when they were brand new. So this was a really neat thing for me. The first picture is with most of the cousins..my brother's kids weren't able to be there but they are on my parent's deck enjoying root beer floats. Giselle was enjoying hers with at least 5 straws.  We had beautiful weather so it was nice.  The majority of the pictures are of the brunch before the blessing.  A lot of Les's family was able to be there so it was nice to spend some time with them.  I didn't get a picture of my mom and dad with Wyatt so I'm bummed about that. And some how Brett was able to NOT be in a single picture..sneaky devil!
The last two are at church outside with sweet Wyatt in his blessing outfit. Kristi looks great for having a week old baby.

Bus drivers are special too!

We are so lucky to have such a nice bus driver.  He is an older gentleman who ALWAYS arrives with a smile.  He usually has some fun hat on as well.  He totally thinks I'm crazy since I sometimes chase the bus down through the neighborhood...I know he's in here somewhere!   Luckily he seems to not mind.  He has even taken the big bus down to the end of our street when Jolie thought she forgot something at home.  He has also stopped in the middle of the street when he saw our girls running frantically to catch him.  Let's face it bus drivers put up with A LOT of crap.  Can you imagine driving a full bus of 5-11yr. olds every day. I think it takes a special person for sure.  So I was so excited to see this cute thank you. I found it here.  I think it turned out so cute. I just love the little buses.
